Advocating for Over 32 million Entrepreneurs and Business Owners

The National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE) is the nation’s leading advocate and resource for millions of self-employed entrepreneurs and small business owners seeking to advance policies to support the lifeblood of America’s Main Street.

Representing over 33 million of America’s self-employed, solo-entrepreneurs, gig-economy workers and smallest employers, NASE is the largest, nonpartisan association of its kind in the United States. By providing day-to-day support, including direct access to experts, benefits, and consolidated buying power that traditionally have been available exclusively to large corporations, NASE works to level the field for small businesses fueling local economies in every city and region in the country.

Working to ensure the small business voice is not drowned out by giant corporate interests, NASE advocates before Congress, the White House, government agencies and elected leaders at all levels to champion small business owners and guaranteeing their concerns receive the deserved consideration in regulatory and public policy.

ENGAGEMENT

NASE’s robust external public affairs program has raised the visibility and positioning of a rapidly growing business demographic leading to positive policy outcomes and creation of an environment where small business startups are breaking historic records and reshaping America’s workforce.

MEASURE OF SUCCESS

For over a decade, the public affairs efforts carried out on behalf of the National Association for the Self-Employed have reshaped our nation’s legal and regulatory framework to better support entrepreneurship through changing the United States Tax Code to offer a standardized home office deduction and reshaping the Affordable Care Act to provide affordable access to care for self-employed individuals.
